Professional window and door installation is a crucial stage of any building or refurbishment project. At DOR-JAN we take care over every detail — from precise surveying through the right product choice to careful fitting with sealing and hardware adjustment.
How do our installation services work?
Depending on the stage of your project and your needs, we carry out installation in three variants. We deliver each of them using layered installation technology (so-called warm installation) — with a three-layer seal at the joint: low-expansion foam, an internal vapour-barrier tape and an external vapour-permeable tape, in line with the ift WA-08/2 guideline. This makes the window a weathertight part of the wall, with no thermal bridges and no risk of condensation.
1. Installation at the shell stage
This is installation at the construction stage — before the internal plaster and façade go on. We set the windows and doors in the bare openings, level them precisely, anchor them to the masonry and seal the whole joint in layers. The finishing crews later work up the joinery with plaster and render. It's the ideal solution for houses under construction — the window becomes permanently tied into the wall's thermal layer, which gives the best weathertightness and energy efficiency.
2. Removal and fitting of new windows
The refurbishment option — replacing old joinery in an occupied building. We start with a precise survey of the existing openings, then remove the old windows, clean and prepare the reveals, and set, level, anchor and seal the new windows. We work efficiently and cleanly — we protect floors and furniture, and take the old windows and debris away with us. We usually complete the replacement in a typical flat or detached house in a single day.
3. Installation with reveal finishing
A turnkey service — besides removal and fitting we carry out full reveal finishing. Inside: plastering and finishing the reveals, setting internal sills and preparing for painting. Outside: detailing and sealing the reveals, fitting external sills and drip trims, and protecting against water and wind. The result is ready to use — no gaps, cracks or unfinished reveals, and no need to bring in separate finishing crews.

Our fitting teams have many years of experience and certificates from uPVC system manufacturers. We work with top-quality materials — low-pressure foams, vapour-barrier and wind-barrier tapes — which keep the installation durable and weathertight for years.
It depends on the stage of the project. For a house under construction, installation at the shell stage is best. When replacing old joinery in an occupied building we'll go for removal and fitting of new windows, and if you want a turnkey result — installation with reveal finishing. Fitting a single window usually takes 1–2 hours. We most often replace the joinery in a typical flat or detached house in a single day. With full reveal finishing the work may take a little longer — we agree the exact timing after the survey.
